The ideal civil ceremony and wedding venue located in the historic town of Colchester, Essex. Enter the building through two highly decorated cast iron gates, gifted to the Town Hall in 1898, you come into the reception hall with marble staircase and statue of the Queen Victoria. The Town Hall Architect John Belcher ARA (1841-1913) extensively used sculptures and artworks throughout the building. The spectacular Italian marble staircase dominates the hall and provides a memorable backdrop for your wedding or corporate photography. The entrance alone offers an inviting reception for all types of occasions and we have outstanding function rooms still used for their original purpose and which are available for hire.

The Town Hall has a range of rooms that can cater for small ceremonies/receptions for less than 20 guests or larger ceremonies/receptions for 200 guests.
